Our Surge Technologies design and manufacture a wide range of protection solutions for all of your system surge protection requirements. We offer a wealth of over 50 years experience in the surge protection industry.
Our surge products embodies the strengths of Telematic, a name synonymous with the water industry, and Atlantic Scientific, which has strong ties in the network, ITS and wireless infrastructure markets.
As Eaton, we continue to develop and support these markets with leading designs and solutions, as well as continuing to be a leader in surge protection in the process industry.
Our commitment is not only to meet but surpass our customer's high expectations which can only be achieved by maintaining very high standards in all aspects of our business. We continue to listen to our customer needs and develop solutions which not only meet, but exceed requirements in all respects.
The ZoneSentinel range is engineered for application at distribution boards and small service locations and provides cost effective, high capacity surge protection to 100kA per phase. When used at a local panel in combination with a ZoneMaster at the service entrance, ZoneSentinel provides the ultimate in surge protection. The ZoneSentinel offers ten mode protection and, like the ZoneMaster range, has remote indication capabilities.
The ZoneDefender PRO range is a versatile, high performance surge protector designed for use in a wide variety of industrial, institutional and commercial applications. This is the most compact, powerful, feature-rich surge protector on the market today.
This cost effective surge protector is for applications described by IEC 61312 where the surge protector could carry a partial share of the lightning surge current. The Class I devices, rated for 50kA (10/350µs), are deployed at the service entrance, followed by Class II rated devices at key power panels. Sensitive systems can then be locally protected by a Class III surge protector (such as an MA15).
The MA30 range of surge protection devices protects electronic equipment power supplies and computer networks against the effects of 'noise pollution' induced in mains power supplies. MA30 units 'clean up' the effects of industrial noise and surges caused by lightning, switching devices, thyristor controls, transmission system overloads and power-factor correction circuits. Industrial control systems and dc power supplies utilising programmable logic controllers (plc) and industrial computers are particularly vulnerable due to the aggressive electrical environments for which they are intended, such as process plants, factories and water treatment sites. Although industrial computers and plcs are designed to be rugged, the extra protection provided by the DIN rail mounting MA30 units is critical. Ideally suited for protecting panel mounted equipment and typically used in the controls section of a motor control centre (MCC), the MA30 range provides surge and RFI protected power. Suitable for AC or DC application, MA30 units reduce both electromagnetic emissions and the susceptibility of the associated equipment to emissions from other sources.
The MA15 range of surge protection devices protects electronic equipment and computer networks against the effects of 'noise pollution' induced in mains power supplies. MA15 units 'clean up' the effects of industrial noise and surges caused by lightning, switching devices, thyristor controls, transmission system overloads and power-factor correction circuits. The MA3350 is available for either AC or DC applications. The AC & DC versions are rated to a full 50kA (8/20µs) with the DC version also rated at 15kA (10/350µs). In the AC three phase unit there are four (4) such modes giving a total unit rating of 200kA. These units carry a suite of diagnostics that monitors each component of the suppression circuit. Each unit has positive indication showing both the presence of power and the status of the unit. Red and green LEDs leave the user in no doubt of the MA3350's operational readiness. Remote monitoring of the MA3350 is possible using the standard voltage free contacts.
